The Molecular Cognition Laboratory is dedicated to investigating the molecular and neural circuit mechanisms underlying both innate and acquired behaviors, such as anxiety, insomnia, alcohol dependence, and complications related to anesthesia. Our research employs a comprehensive array of cutting-edge techniques, including molecular biochemistry, patch-clamp electrophysiology, molecular genetic manipulation, EEG/EMG monitoring, in vivo calcium imaging, neural tracing, optogenetics, and chemogenetics. By integrating these advanced methodologies in a rigorously interdisciplinary framework, we strive to make fundamental breakthroughs in our understanding of brain function—bridging insights from the molecular level to systems-level dynamics. Our mission is to push the boundaries of neuroscience and deepen the foundational understanding of complex neurological processes.
